Well I think the vending machines aren't a the cause of this obesity through children. I have a couple reasons why I think why this isn't a problem at all. Students in school mainly get snacks from the vending machines either at lunch or at the end of the day. That is because some students may have nothing else to eat for lunch so they decided to buy a snack to feed their hunger. Same reason goes for after school when students go all day long without a meal.
Soda machines aren't bad either, they provide drinks for the students throughout the day. They can hydrate their body with a bottle of soda. Another reason is that most students aren't obese anyways. Why could you have done to have avoided or minimizes these difficulties?
The difficulties that I had at first was selecting a reliable SME. The first SME that I had, agreed for me to do a job analysis on her. She had submitted enough information about her title, position and a brief description of her job in which I was able to submit part I of the job analysis and received a green light to pursue.
Afterward, I tried three times to set up an interview in person and as well as time and date for me to observe her, she ended cancelling on all three occasions. This particular SME was reliable, but the challenges were the distance and our different schedules. However, I was able to do the interview in person and we were able to communicate via phone and emails.
Why did you get The vending machines that are being put up at the public schools and other workplaces sells all types of high calorie drinks, that contains so much sugar that increases weight gain greatly. In addition, sugary drinks causes bad effects for the human body. However, if we ban sugary drinks from the soda vending machines it may decrease the gain weight of these kids and adults at their schools and workplaces.
Many individuals just grab and go when they are thirsty. When you are on a run and thirsty for something delicious to drink you can go to your nearest vending machine at work or school and that may be the worst decision you can make in your life however, not realizing the horrible side effects it can cause.
The possibilities of causing bad defects to the body is the high calorie intake that causes obesity. I believe that vending machines that sells sugary drinks should be removed and put in more healthier drinks because the drinks that are sodas are ruining our bodies, and we don't realize how bad it is for the body. Others should take upon for themselves that they should not buy any sugary drinks for their own sake because its bad for many reasons.

Coca Cola Vending Machines Essay Essay on Vending Job Analysis: Vending Supervisor Essay Vending Machine Essay If a child is overeating on junk foods and not sticking to a somewhat healthy diet, then they run the risk of becoming overweight and potentially being diagnosed with diabetes.
Unhealthy eating habits are not the only cause for diabetes, but it is one of the leading causes Cari Oleskewicz, Global Post. With so much junk food and soda in schools today, the White House even took a stand to fix the problem. The law limits the marketing of foods and beverages with low nutritional value in schools. Michelle played a big part in the passing of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of , which has helped make healthier options available at schools including more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
I think this is a great step. I hope to find that schools have devoted more attention to nutrition in the classroom as well. I am also curious of the link between schools promoting healthy foods and students making healthy food choices beyond school. Do students resist?
Are parents on board? President Obama is also trying to fix the problem of unhealthy foods in vending machines. As part of obamacare, vending machines are now required to display the calorie information. This is costing companies extra money they probably do not want to spend, but may result in a healthier youth or even adults. As schools are still transitioning into providing healthier choices, I decided to explore what these changes will mean for the child.
A study surveyed students from Los Angeles high schools that already had a nutritional policy of their own. Together, these policies prohibited the sales of all foods that the school district considered to be junk foods, and soft drinks to students during school hours Vecchiarelli, p. Unfortunately, about one-third of those who claimed that the policies affected what they consumed at home stated that they ate more of the restricted items Vecchiarelli, p.
The fact that many students in the LAUSD survey rebelled against the soda and junk food policies by eating unhealthier outside of school not only shows a lack of embrace by some students but it also shows a lack of support from parents. I believe this lack of support comes from a lack of knowledge. Schools may be unable to educate parents, but they can educate their students.
Setting a policy in place and not educating the students about the importance of it will only cause them to resist. A more coordinated approach involving nutrition education would be most effective. By that number increased to With obesity come many health risks, such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and diabetes Spring, p.
The report suggests many goals that aim towards resolving the obesity epidemic; including making schools the primary leader. The report calls for everyone from politicians, business owners, to people of the community to coordinate with schools to support obesity prevention.
The report recommends that schools conduct their efforts by requiring effective physical education and physical activity, applying nutritional standards for all foods and drinks available at schools, and educating students in nutrition Nihiser, p. Studies show that the public supports measures taken by schools to combat obesity. A main goal of our government is educating students for the global economy.
Therefore, there is extensive testing in subjects such as math, science, and English. No teacher, politician, scientist, or any person for that matter can argue against the point that optimal nutrition promotes better learning. I did not do any research to prove this because I did not want to waste my time. It is common sense. My point is, if our government is so worried about competing in the global economy then they should first think about the nutritional health of students.
Just as a car needs clean gas, a human needs a clean nutritious diet to perform at a high level. If we can transform the average student into being an individual who is conscious of how the body works and the nutrition it needs to work efficiently, and who is aware of the problems that come with a poor diet, the effect would be monumental. Not only would we see positive changes in our youth, we would see positive changes for our future. We are educating future parents, workers, and consumers.
If we transform the consumer, the market will change as well. Education is key, and that of nutrition could change the world and ultimately help us evolve as a human race.

HIRE Writer. Many argue that banning junk food will help combat obesity even though more results would come from increased exercise. The government effort to ban junk food is well intended but doesn't solve the problem they want it to solve. If children were exposed to healthy foods every day in school, healthy foods would no longer be out of the ordinary.
It is what is on TV, it is what their parents feed them, and it is what their schools provides them. If these strong exposures to junk foods began disappearing, and were replaced with healthy foods, there would not be a problem. The government can only do so much to try and persuade teachers and students to eat healthy. If parents had more information on what was in unhealthy food would they still serve it to their children? When children eat unhealthy food throughout the day it causes them to act up and perform poorly.
Marlene Canter, the board of education L. Unified school district, saying that some of the companies are really opposing the ban of selling soda and other fast food in schools. For reasons of that they would lose revenue. Obesity is something the affect many American but with more knowledge about it affects our health and helping family learn to eat better it would help more than just pushing up the price of bad food.
Taxing bad food will make the American people feel forced to eat better and let 's be honest a lot of us don 't like to be told what we cannot do. So having program for school to push a healthy food lifestyle with their school food could help because if they 're doing it at school it must be okay. Taxing bad food could also push vandalism because people wouldn 't want to pay for the food so they will just steal it or get it another way. Possibly taxing bad food would work, but it would also affect a small about of people and most of them in a bad….
Zinczenko believes that with the lawsuits against the fast-food industry, the fast-food industry should fix their problems so people can make informed choices about their products and parents will be informed of how much calories their children are eating. Although many parents work long hours, there are other alternatives besides eating fast food. There are many restaurants or places where you can eat for an affordable price besides fast food chains. Furthermore, food can be prepare in advance so the children can eat it at a later time.
The food that these companies protrudes to young minds is incompatible with the food in the lifestyles they should be maintaining. Some young adults choose to eat fast food, because it is whats most convenient to the young college lifestyle, not knowing that some fast food companies lie about the product being sold.
In fast food companies increased drinking sizes, in a large was smaller than a medium today. The New York Times piece was pretty interesting. When you see kids eat some vegetables you think ok that should be plenty of it.
George A. We used a vending machine for the first time on our recent trip to Delhi and it greatly enhanced the way we visualised our own machine. Though these machines were conventional ones , still it helped us in some way. Other than this , we have done a lot literature surveys and taken number of cases where vending machines have been of use.

While health issues such as childhood obesity can be attributed to a number of causes, the one major reason for obesity is overindulgence in unhealthy foods. Vending machines have been known to encourage unhealthy eating since all the foods and drinks that are offered by vending machines are of little nutritional value therefore making children prone to obesity.
Students are especially found of vending machine products. The foods and drinks available from dispensing machines are high on fats and sugars, both of which are known to cause overweight as well as obesity.
Proponents of vending machines may argue that children have a choice to not buy the unhealthy food stuff and opt for healthier foods offered within the school. However, this is unlikely to occur since the junk foods and drinks offered by vending machines in schools are more attractive to the students. The presence of vending machines therefore tempts students to eat unhealthy foods.
Fast foods and junks result to excessive body weight which has been linked to diabetes and fatal conditions such as strokes. As such, it can be argued that vending machines dispense foods and drinks that may have dire consequences to the consumer.
In addition, these diseases that can result from consumption of vending machine products result in increased medical expenditure for the country. Considering the fact that the products dispensed by the vending machines can be replaced by products that are of a healthier nature, it makes sense to remove this machines which dispense foods and drinks that may cause fatal conditions to the consumer as well as high medical expenses.
Vending machines are not all negative and they make a positive contribution to the school. Vending machines result in corporate sponsorship for the school in which the vending machine is placed. This corporate sponsors offer monetary assistance to the school in return for a chance to advertise and distribute their products to the students. As such, the school will benefit greatly as a result of the vending machines being in their school.
Vending machines also provide a cheaper means for some students to get their foods. Some students cannot afford the expensive nutritious diets that are offered in schools. As such, vending machines provide such students with a means with which to sustain themselves within their budget.

For example, obese students are more likely to suffer from exclusion from peer group activities and may also experience some form of discriminatory actions from adults.

To reinforce this assertion, this paper has forwarded various arguments of why vending machines should be banned. A discussion on the positive attributes of vending machines has also been given so as to present a balanced view on the topic.
From this paper, it is evident that vending machines result in a school setting that favors unhealthy eating habits. The only way which this problem can be solved is by removing the vending machines. While removing vending machines will come at a cost to schools, the benefits in the form of improved health of the students will be worth the cost.
